Travel Inspiration: Vietnam Discovery Tour

This 12-day Vietnamese vacation takes you across the country from Hanoi to Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City. It features first-class accommodations and private tours.

Your journey begins in Hanoi, Vietnam’s charming capital and one of Southeast Asia’s most elegant cities. A full-day tour introduces you to its cultural and historical landmarks: Ba Dinh Square and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, the ancient Thang Long Citadel, your choice of a local museum, and the lively labyrinth of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

From the city, travel east to the coast and embark on an overnight cruise through Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone karst islands. Aboard a traditional junk boat, explore hidden grottoes and caves, and soak in the bay’s dreamlike scenery. Return to Hanoi before flying south to Hue, the former imperial capital.

Set along the Perfume River, Hue is home to Vietnam’s greatest royal treasures. A half-day tour takes you by boat to Thien Mu Pagoda, the country’s tallest religious building, followed by the majestic Imperial Citadel and the Royal Fine Arts Museum.

Journey along the coast via the spectacular Hai Van (Cloudy) Pass, pausing at Lang Co fishing village before arriving in Hoi An. Known for its well-preserved colonial charm, Hoi An invites you to wander its colorful markets, admire its historic architecture, and cross the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. You’ll also enjoy two days at leisure to relax on the beaches once famously called “China Beach” during the 1960s.

Continue south with a flight from Danang to Ho Chi Minh City, a bustling metropolis still affectionately called Saigon by locals. On a half-day city tour, visit the Reunification Palace, the Museum of Vietnamese History, and the atmospheric Jade Emperor Pagoda. From the city, venture outward to experience the lush waterways of the Mekong Delta and, on another day, the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, where underground passages reveal stories of wartime resilience.

Your adventure concludes in Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll connect to the airport for your onward journey.

Travel Inspiration: Thailand Exploration Tour

This 10-day journey through Thailand combines the cultural treasures of Bangkok, the serene beauty of Chiang Mai, and the white-sand beaches of Phuket, with first-class accommodations and guided tours throughout.

Your journey begins in Bangkok, Thailand’s vibrant capital since 1782. A city of contrasts, Bangkok blends ancient tradition with modern dynamism—ornate Buddhist temples and royal palaces sit alongside bustling floating markets, glittering malls, and legendary nightlife. Amid the energy of this metropolis, you’ll find timeless glimpses of Thailand’s gentle culture.

Your sightseeing starts with the Grand Palace, the former royal residence, where the dazzling Emerald Buddha remains one of the nation’s most sacred treasures. Continue to Wat Pho, home of the massive Reclining Buddha, before enjoying a magical evening cruise along the Chao Phraya River. From the water, take in illuminated landmarks such as the Temple of Dawn and the Grand Palace, while savoring authentic Thai delicacies.

The following day, discover Bangkok’s famous klongs (canals), where life along the waterways offers a fascinating contrast to the city’s bustling streets.

From Bangkok, fly north to Chiang Mai, the serene “Rose of the North,” surrounded by forested mountains and home to more than 300 ancient temples. Begin with an excursion to Doi Suthep, the sacred mountaintop temple with sweeping views of the countryside and city below. Later, visit a Hmong hill tribe village to experience local traditions and colorful dress firsthand. On your final evening in Chiang Mai, embark on a street food adventure at Chang Puek Market, sampling regional specialties in a true foodie’s paradise.
